Nickels for Nails and Dollars for Doors
The Nickels for Nails and Dollars for Doors fundraisers are great for groups both big and small. They are easy to put in place and flexible enough that they can be adapted to your group’s specific needs. The goal of these drives is to collect nickels or dollars (depending on which program you choose) that will be used to benefit Solano Napa Habitat for Humanity. How Many Nails?
This is a very simple fundraiser that does not require a great deal of time or many supplies. For this fundraiser you will need a large, clear container and enough nails to fill it up. You will place the filled container in a public location and sell guess slips for one or two dollars. (You could also sell them in bulk at a discount to encourage more sales.) People will then purchase the slips and write down their guess and contact information. The person who’s guess is closest to the correct number of nails is the winner and will be announced and awarded with a prize of your choice; it is a good idea to see what you can get at a discounted price or for free. If more than one person guesses the correct amount have a drawing to pick an over all winner.
